First draft of storyboard

The first shot in our opening sequence will be a shot of a man lying in a pool of what appears at first glance to be blood. The shot will be from taken from above looking down on the character at a very low angle. We have chosen to do this as it will make him more vulnerable and we also think that showing a dead man at the start of the sequence will be very shocking to the spectator and we think that it will peak their interest at right from the start. This shot will also show some shards of glass in the pool of blood which could suggest to the spectator that the murder weapon could have been made from glass.

The second shot will be of the same character but it will be from the side at a much lower height and with a less extreme angle. This shot will be the first shot to show any movement. The pool of what appears to be blood will start to slowly move towards the body of the dead character.

The third shot will be from the taken from the same position as the first shot however, the pool of blood will be much smaller. It is at this moment that it becomes apparent to the spectator that the film is moving in reverse. This shot will also show some of the shards of glass moving back together which could reveal what the murder weapon is. As the shot continues it becomes obvious to the spectator that the dead character wasn't laying in a pool of blood, he was laying in a pool of wine as the wine will move back into the glass it originated from as the shot continues. The end of this shot will show just the dead character on the ground and a glass of wine that is hovering just off the floor slowing moving upwards in the air.

The fourth shot will be a close up of the glass of wine. At the start of the shot the glass will be very close to the floor and a lot of the wine will be falling out of the glass as it would be falling down if the shot wasn't being shot in reverse. The glass will be slowly moving up in the air and some of the wine that was being spilt will be slowly flowing back into the glass.

The fifth shot will show the dead character falling in reverse. At the start of the shot it will show him slightly of the ground but he will be moving up from the ground, falling down in reverse. The glass will be also be visible in this shot. The glass will be just out of the character's grasp which could suggest to the spectator that it was his glass of wine and that it may have had something to do with his death.

The sixth shot will be another close up of the wine glass. At this point all of the wine will be back in the glass as it has only just been dropped. The wine glass will slowly be moving up and the angle it is at will become less as the scene continues. By the end of the shot the glass we be back in the hand of the character in the scene.

The seventh shot will again show the man falling down in reverse. At this point the glass will already be back in his hand and he will almost be standing up. By the end of the shot the character will be standing up and he will be drinking his glass of wine.

The final shot from the opening sequence will be a medium close up of the man and he will be smelling his glass of wine. At this point the scene will end and the title of the film will be shown on the screen. Most of the shots in this sequence will be shot in slow motion. The seventh shot will start in slow motion and will speed up towards the end of the shot. The last shot will be shown at normal speed.
