Concrete
This film uses the same script as Room 8. The script was written by oscar winning writer Geoffrery Fletcher. He wrote a screenplay with no direction and gave it to five different directors to see how they would interperet his script. Due to the fact that both of these films have the same script they have the same props, however the writer doesn't reveal what the prop does in his script he just describes it as a "red box" therefore the prop's function is revealed visually by the director. All five directors thought of completely different uses for the prop which makes all five films completely differnt from one another despite having identical scripts. I think that both "Room 8" and "Concrete" are very important short films as they show how different people interpret stories in different ways despite having the exact same script.
Room 8 and Concrete both have the same narrative as they both have the same script, however they are both presented in very different ways because they have different directors. I think that the director of Room 8 did a better job on his film than the director of Concrete did. I think that the twist has a more believiable and realistic feel to it in Room 8 compared to Concrete.
