Room 8 short film.

 I enjoyed the film room 8 because in many ways it reminded me of Christopher Nolan's first short film "Doodlebug" as they have similar themes. I think that both of the actors played their characters very well but I think that the older man's performance stood out more as we know less about him which makes the twist at the end even more surprising. The film doesn't tell the viewer anything about how the mysterious red box was made but we know what it is used for. The fact that the box is red could symbolise the danger of the box or could be there to warn the protagonist not to open it. The antagonist is very reclusive and introverted in this short which makes him very ambiguous. The film leaves us wandering who the antagonist really is until the end of the short which makes the twist even harder to predict.
